Our Vision
Regal Roots Haircare will have helped women of color with highly textured hair to achieve hair health and/or lengths they never thought possible. We not only offer unique in-salon hair services, but we also ensure that the client knows what to do once they leave the salon. Highly textured hair will become the envy of the world by showing its optimal beauty when properly taken care of.

Regal Roots is dedicated to offering a fresh new perspective on highly textured hair to it's clients. We offer high quality hair services, great customer service, and products for haircare maintenance. We also offer seminars educating and inspiring women of color to embrace and care for their hair.
April has always been intrigued with the question "Why is long hair on women with tightly coiled (relaxed or natural)
hair a RARE thing?" This question alone became a passion of hers in 2005 when she was pregnant with her son. After
trial and error, reading books and visiting forums, she finally found the answer and began sharing this information
with family and friends. April has seen results and directly/indirectly helped countless women with answers to their hair problems (hair growth, dry scalp, breakage, split ends and dryness). She tailors her services to her clients' needs specific to their hair type. April loves solving hair problems and it shows in her customer service, being accessible through telephone to her clients after they leave.
April began to pursue a professional career as a hairstylist, attending and graduating from Empire Beauty School in 2010. She began working closely with Ryan Nickulas of Ryan Darius Salon working as an assistant. She has assisted and styled in various photo shoots and fashion Shows, including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. April has even appeared on Season Two of the hit Logo Show "The A-List: New York". Her resume also includes Aveda training from Aveda Educators and Stylists while working at The Sanctuary Salon Brooklyn.
